When taking the casts, it will not take very long at all, the hard work is afterwards when I work my magic making your casts as beautiful as possible. The mould is created using a material called alginate, the same material a dentist would use. The hand or foot is placed into the alginate and left for approximately one minute to set and then carefully removed.
The cast is created using plaster and once it has set, the alginate is removed, and the cast left to dry for up to 3 weeks. Once dry, the final plaster cast is hand painted and finished as you have chosen.
Each cast taken is unique as the casts are not reusable, so you really will have a bespoke piece of art for you to keep forever.
You can choose to have a free-standing cast or choose from an array of frame choices to match your home décor. There are lots of different options, of which I am more than happy to discuss with you.
